Technology - Equipment requirements
The Nanosep technology can be used on any capillary electrophoresis (CE) equipped with mass spectrometry (MS) detection with an angled electrospray ionisation (ESI) interface.Application of the technology
The vial containing the Nanosep's reversed phase nanoparticles are inserted into the tray of the CE apparatus and used as background electrolyte (BGE). Thus, using the Nanosep technology is not different from plain CE, although the addition of a high performing chromatographic phase will greatly broaden the applicability of CE to different separation problems. Compared to traditional chromatography, no conditioning of the nanoparticle phase is required.
